Iván Meade, C.D.P.

Iván Meade is the principal designer and founder of Meade Design Group and the Iván Meade Fabric, Chocolate, Pillowcase, and Candle Collections. He has received international and critical acclaim for his work in interior, graphic, and industrial design for the last twenty years. Meade Design Group has created a niche for itself in branding designers; Iván has worked with interior designers locally as well as in Australia and throughout North America to help them develop high-value brands for themselves.

Design has always been Iván’s passion. With his new artisanal chocolate collection, couture pillowcase collection, eponymous candle line and designers favourite fabric line, Iván has the opportunity to culminate his experiences with several design disciplines into a personal narrative. Each Iván Meade product in his line represents an important part of Iván’s own life experience.  For instance the fabric line has been meticulously designed with the ability to integrate into other manufacturer’s inventory in addition to limitless combinations within the line itself.

Ivan’s personal aesthetic is based on European methodology, which is overall timeless, but with a sophisticated, modern edge. One of his fundamental design mantras is a phrase his mother would often use; ‘Find luxury in what you touch every day’. Meade Design Group’s work has been featured in HGTV, Better Homes & Gardens, Style at Home, BC Home, YAM Magazine, Spruce Magazie, Modern Home Vicotria, Design Edge among others. Iván has also contributed regularly to numerous local lifestyle magazines.

With the inception of LIFEMSTYLE– the blog in 2007, Iván made connections with several contacts within the world of publishing, art and design that have given him the ability to interview some of the foremost names in the design industry including Kelly Hoppen, Jean-Louis Denoit, Kelly Wearstler and Lorenzo Castillo. Recently, these high-profile interviews have been updated and compiled into an e-book, which is available for free download. The blog has since developed into a multi-platform approach, with the launch of ‘LifeMStyle’. This evolution creates a more interactive experience for readers with a wider variety of topics and contributors.

Born in Mexico, Iván has been working and living in Victoria BC, Canada since 1998. He enjoys travelling and working on a global scale.
