Description
CURTIS JERÉ
Curtis Jeré is the artistic signature of designers Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels, who founded the studio in the early 1960s during the height of America’s mid-century design movement.
The name combines their first names — Curtis and Jeré (from Jerry) — and became synonymous with sculptural metal wall art that blurred the line between fine art and decorative object. Working primarily in brass, copper, and mixed metals, the duo introduced a bold, dimensional approach to wall sculpture, embracing texture, movement, and architectural form.
Their work captures the spirit of post-war optimism and experimentation, transforming industrial materials into expressive, collectible design statements.
